It's not often that an upcoming film sequel slips beneath our radar, but it has occurred before, case in point, '10 Cloverfield Lane', and now, following a sudden announcement, it appears as though it's happened again. Out of the blue, and without any prior warning has come 'Dundee: The Son of a Legend Returns Home', an unexpected sequel to the legendary 'Crocodile Dundee'. The sequel is due to hit cinemas sometime this year.

 Dundee sequel

News of the sequel first hit following the release of a short trailer. According the official synopsis, Michael Dundee finds himself lost in the Australian outback, leaving none other than his illegitimate American son to come to his rescue. However, the latter having grown up in the city means many difficulties will be awaiting him out in the wild.

The trailer introduces Dundee's son, who'll be played by Danny McBride, to the narrative. The actor is famous for his work on 'Pineapple Express' and 'Alien: Covenant'. Paul Hogan will also be reprising his role as Crocodile Dundee. You can see the trailer for yourselves here:
