Ridley Scott's next science fiction feature film, 'Alien: Covenant' has just released its first promocional poster in which it teases us with a glimpse into a brand new world with one of the most terrifying foes to grace the silver screen. Like something straight from nightmares, the Xenomorph, first introduced in 'Alien', hides cloaked in the shadows, with only his salivating mouth and eyeless face being able to be seen. Above the Alien a warning message reads, "Run". This first promotional image of the film has not been the only exciting news in regards to 'Alien: Covenant', because the release date of the film has also been brought forwards three months.

'Alien:Covenant'

The arrival of this new world of terrifying creatures was planned for August 4th, 2017, although seems that now we won't have to wait as long, because the movie release date was brought forwards to the 19th of May of the same year. In its opening weekend in the United States, 'Alien: Covenant' will have to contend with the aftermath of the terror flick 'Annabelle 2' and the reboot of 'Baywatch', starring Dwayne Johnson and Zac Efron among others.

New faces?

The continuation of the 'Alien' saga will once again star Noomi Rapace in the role of Dr. Elizabeth Shaw, and Michael Fassbender playing two different characters: the androids Walter and David. Joining them are some new faces with Katherine Waterson and Danny McBride, whom will form sine of the crew of the Covenant on its mission to discover planets ideal for colonization on the other side of the galaxy. However this opens them up to a whole new world of dangers, especially when they meet David, one of the only two survivors from Prometheus.
