If you cast your memories back to 2010, you'll remember the exact moment our hearts broke when Andy decided to give his toys to Bonnie and head off to university. Despite the bitter-sweet ending, 'Toy Story 3' was incredibly successful and easily one of Pixar's better productions; So, it comes as no surprise that a fourth instalment to the franchise is on its way.

 'Toy Story'

Whilst we're overjoyed at the news, the most loyal 'Toy Story' fans amongst us might not be as equally pleased. 'Toy Story 4' was originally set for release during June 2018 and 'Incredibles 2' was scheduled for 2019; however, the constant setbacks on the former meant the Parr family film took priority.

Disney and Pixar Animation Studios confirmed an official US release date for 'Toy Story 4' via Facebook: mark your calendars for 21st June 2019, folks!

Toy Story 4

More than 2 decades after the first film, directed by John Lasseter, 'Toy Story' is still one of the most praised franchises, meaning the company is really taking a risk with a fourth instalment. As if that wasn't enough pressure, 'Toy Story 4' will have to top its predecessor, and Pixar really raised the bar with that film!

Josh Cooley, one of the screenplay writers who worked on 'Inside Out', will direct the film alongside Stephany Folsom who'll write the script. The two are new to the 'Toy Story' franchise and their participation marks a first for the studios.

With regard to the storyline, we don't really know much beyond the fact that Woody, Buzz & Co will be on the look out for the one toy that got donated, Bo Peep. Are you ready for a return to infinity & beyond?
