Biography
Lino Escalera was born in Madrid in 1974 where he studied Business Studies at a University of Madrid but thanks to a number of Film and Video courses he discovered his real career path: the cinema. Then it's when he decided to go to New York and study at New York University followed by Directing and Screenwriting courses at the School of Filmd and Television at San Antonio de los Baños (Cuba). After that he returned to Spain where he directed and produced his first short film 'Space 2' as he worked as Assistant Director on commercials. In 2017 he directed his first film 'No sé decir adiós' film that was first shown in the Official Section at the Malaga Spanish Film Festival and now is nominated at the Goya.
