By Any Means" Trailer (2026)

The trailer for 'By Any Means' introduces the new action film directed by Elegance Bratton, the filmmaker known for his work on 'The Inspection'. The film occupies the territory of the police thriller with a strong emphasis on racial and institutional tension, and promises a high-octane production set within the world of organised crime and federal justice.

The trailer opens with a direct question put to agent Wayne Strider about his motivations for joining the FBI, to which he responds that he believes in justice and that Black people must have a part in achieving it. From there, the trailer unfolds a series of scenes depicting unsolved cases, undercover operations, and unorthodox methods. The centrepiece of the trailer is the forced partnership between Strider and an individual connected to organised crime, which generates a dynamic of mutual distrust and high-stakes situations. Car chases, physical confrontations, and moral dilemmas follow in quick succession in an edit that alternates dark humour with moments of genuine tension.

The cast is led by Yahya Abdul-Mateen II in the role of agent Wayne Strider, with Mark Wahlberg as his controversial partner in the field. The ensemble is rounded out by LaChanze, Nicole Beharie, and Josh Lucas, amongst others. 'By Any Means' is scheduled for release in 2026.
