'Luzzu' Official Trailer

First feature by Maltese film editor Alex Camilleri, who makes his directorial debut with 'Luzzu', a dramatic feature film that had its premiere in the World Cinema Dramatic section of the 2021 Sundance International Film Festival and also participated at the 55th Karlovy Vary International Film Festival. Film that seeks to show the social side of Malta, a country whose main image is oriented towards tourism. A production with which Camilleri decided not to work with professional actors, to give it a greater sense of realism.

Jesmark (Jesmark Scicluna) is a Maltese fisherman who owns Luzzu, a wooden boat with which he fishes. Jesmark is facing a new leak, which will challenge his fragile economic stability.
