Trailer 'Time Freak' (2018)

The trailer for 'Time Freak' showcases Andrew Bowler's vision for this American romantic comedy. The film combines the classic ingredients of the genre with a light science-fiction element: a time machine built with the sole purpose of rekindling a lost romantic relationship.

The trailer opens with a break-up and the despair of its protagonist, who decides he is not prepared to accept the end of his love story. The line that sums up the premise appears early in the trailer: "I've created what every broken heart desires, a second chance."

From there, the trailer strings together a series of comic situations arising from time travel, ranging from attempts to correct minor everyday mistakes to the pressure of keeping everything under control before the contraption stops working. The trailer reveals that the dynamic between the protagonist and his friend throughout these temporal leaps generates much of the film's humour, with moments of confusion and misunderstanding that point to a light-hearted and breezy tone.
