'Courtroom 3h' trailer

A look at the family court in Tallahassee, Florida, a unique court in the United States that specializes in cases involving minors.

Documentary film about the Tallahassee (Florida) Unified Family Court that specializes in court cases involving minors. This is the only court in the United States that deals with matters related to children and parents. Families are summoned to this court when they are accused of abuse, abandonment or neglect with respect to minors.

The purpose of this court under the Law is to reunite families as quickly and safely as possible. The film is inspired by the words of James Baldwin: "If you really want to know how justice is administered in a country, you go to the unprotected and listen to their testimony." This is one of the only courts in the entire country that works for rehabilitation and not punishment. Directed by Antonio Méndez Esparza ('Life and nothing else', 'Here and there'). It was presented at the San Sebastián International Film Festival in 2020 as one of the nominated to Best Picture.
