'A Perfect Day' trivia and fun facts

The shooting took place in Malaga, Cuenca and Granada, although the movie is set in Bosnia, that is located in Western Europe.

Fernando León de Aranoa, director of the movie, has a vast knowledge of the Bosnian conflict, since he travelled to that place while the war was taking place in 1995. He registered that trip with a couple of cameras and that experience leaded to 'A Perfect Day'.

Benicio del Toro, Fernando León de Aranoa and Mélanie Thierry received a five minutes standing ovation after the first screening of the movie in the Cannes Festival 2015.

Fernando León de Aranoa heard about the novel in which the movie is inspired on, 'Dejarse llover' written by Paula Farias, for the first time in Uganda, where he was shooting a documentary.
