Adam

Samia (Nisrin Erradi) is a pregnant woman in poverty who is looking for a job while sleeping on the street. Abla (Lubna Azabal), owner of a pastry shop that she has in her own house, sees her from her window across the road and after a conscience fight, the woman goes to help her and she lets Samia stay some nights. Although the situation is tense, Abla's lovely little daughter, Warda (Douae Belkhaouda) relieves stress at home, but her mother's serious expression rarely relaxes for more than a few seconds.

Abla is the most tormented of the two and both women have locked themselves in their internal struggles. Samia rejects any emotional bond with her unborn child, conceived out of marriage, and is determined to leave him for adoption and return to his village as soon as she gives birth to the child. Her stubbornness at this point coincides with Abla, whose inability to process her husband's death extends even to the prohibition of playing the music of her former favorite singer, Warda Al-Jazairia. Together they will end up finding a harmony that although they don't know it yet, it will eventually change their lives.

The Moroccan film is directed by Maryam Touzani and stars Lubna Azabal, Nisrin Erradi, Douae Belkhaouda, Aziz Hattab and Hasnaa Tamtaoui.
