Plot
One day Ana, a girl recently graduating a PhD and who is about to get married, suddenly realizes that someone has been impersonating her and committing fraud. At first she is scared, but she then decides that it is the perfect way to free herself from her life and responsabilities. Ana begins to consider choosing between claiming her real identity, or letting go of her entire past in order to begin a new life completely. While her double takes her place, Ana begins to lose herself in the Madrid night, meeting various other colourful characters who, like her, want to lose themselves and go unnoticed.
It stars the debut performance of Andrea Jaurrieta, Ingrid García-Jonsson ('Beautiful Youth'), Mona Martínez, Alvaro Ogalla and Fernando Albizu.

Rookie and promise
¡Ana by day' is the first movie of Andrea Jaurrieta, who has been able to carry forward her project despite the adversities of the film industry. Like Carla Simón with 'Summer 1993', Jaurrieta is called to become a big promise in spanish cinema.
A national tribute
The title of the film is connected to an other spanish filmmaker, Luis Buñuel, whose movie 'Belle de jour' has inspired the film, as the director Andrea Jaurrieta confessed.
A dream fulfilled
The film has taken over seven years to carry forward, from being an independent project to count with the support of three foreign scolarships and participating in 'Small is biútiful' of the call 'Espagnolas in París' 's festival.
