Another Mother's Son

Based on the true story of Louisa Gould, 'Another Mother's Son' is a British drama directed by Christopher Menaul and set in the time of World War II, when the Nazis occupied Jersey, an island located west of the French coast that belongs to the British Crown. When Winston Churchill, the leader of the British, resign an assault of the island due to the risk involved, the inhabitants took the reins of the struggle despite hunger, foreign occupation and betrayals. In this context, the protagonist offers refuge to a Russian prisoner of war who had escaped, and does everything possible to protect her family as well as the fugitive, as he were her own son, from the difficulties they are forced to go through.
