Plot
From the director of 'Deadpool 2' and 'Atomic Blonde'. A group of contract killers find themselves on a high-speed bullet train heading to the city of Morioka from Tokyo. To their surprise, the missions they've been tasked with are interrelated.
Directed by David Leitch and written for the big screen by Zak Olkewicz, 'Bullet Train' is the film adaptation of the book 'Maria Beetle' written by Kotaro Isaka. With a unique cast, the film brings together Brad Pitt ('Once Upon a Time in Hollywood'), Joey King ('The Act'), Aaron Taylor-Johnson ('Nocturnal Animals'), Brian Tyree Henry ('Eternals'), Sandra Bullock ('Bird Box'), Michael Shannon ('Revolutionary Road') and even Latin singer and artist Bad Bunny.
As a curiosity, David Leitch and Brad Pitt had already met on the set of David Fincher's 'Fight Club'. Leitch was at that time one of his stuntmen. Later, they continued to coincide in the filming of 'Ocean's Eleven', 'Troy' and 'Mr. and Mrs. Smith'. This will be the first film in which they both work together as director and actor, although Pitt made a cameo in Leitch's 'Deadpool 2'.
The film is produced by 87North, CTB Inc, Hill District Media and Sony Pictures Entertainment. It is the fourth feature film directed solo by the director, after co-directing 'John Wick' in his 2014 debut with Chad Stahelski.
