Biography
He was born in Lexington, Kentucky, it is the grandson of the entomologist Raymond Corbett Shannon. Because his parents divorced, he was raised between Chicago and Kentucky. His father, Donald S. Shannon, was a professor at DePaul University. Shannon began his acting career at the Theatre of Chicago, where he helped found the theater 'A Red Orchid Theatre' along with other groups. In addition to study acting, he was also interested in architecture and took classes in piano, viola, double bass and bass. His film debut was in front with a small role in 'Groundhog Day' in 1993, in which he played the groom of a wedding.
