Plot
'Nuremberg' is set during the Nuremberg Trials held 80 years ago by the Allies once the Nazi regime was defeated. They laid the foundations of current international justice and helped define what a "war crime" is.
Douglas Kelley (Rami Malek), an American psychiatrist, must evaluate the mental health of the imprisoned Nazis to determine whether they should be tried for the crimes committed during the war. Kelley will have to face off in a battle of wits against Hermann Göring (Russel Crowe), who was Hitler's right-hand man and one of the most feared men in the world.
Written and directed by James Vanderbilt ('Truth'), 'Nuremberg' is produced by Walden Media, Bluestone Entertainment, and Mythology Entertainment. It is based on the original work by journalist Jack El-Hai (United States, 1958) 'The Nazi and the Psychiatrist' (2013).
The cast is led by two Oscar winners, Russell Crowe and Rami Malek, who will also be joined by Michael Shannon ('Nocturnal Animals'), Richard E. Grant ('Can You Ever Forgive Me?'), Leo Woodall ('Bridget Jones: Mad About Him'), John Slatterry ('Mad Men'), Colin Hanks ('Fargo'), and Lydia Peckman ('The Planet of the Apes Kingdom').
This gripping historical drama explores morality, power, and the psychological depths of those who shaped one of history’s darkest chapters.
