Plot
Biopic directed by Lisa Azuelos ('LOL (Laughing Out Loud)', 'Une rencontre') on the life and person of the acclaimed French singer with Italian origin Dalida. Born in Cairo on January 17, 1933, the French diva came into the world with Iolanda Cristina Gigliotti name, within a middle-class Italian family. Daughter of the first violin of the Opera of Cairo, this lush beauty lived always involved in the art world. She was Miss Egypt in 1954 and in 1956 she begins to sing, after triumphing at the Olympia Theatre in Paris in 1957 along with Charles Aznavour, her career rose in the top of European music. It was the first European singer to gain two Oscars of the song and the first woman to achieve Diamond record by selling millions of records. However, the tragedy was always present in her life, her first great love, Luigi Tenco, committed suicide after the Festival of San Remo 1967, which Dalida never overcome and that, despite the enormous success and recognition she had it, sadness could with her life, she was committing suicide at her home in Paris in May 1987.
