This documentary, which features interviews full of surprises with figures such as Margaret Cho, Tim Gunn, Don Lemon, David Sedaris, Dan Savage and George Takei, features a clever, bold and fun vision of the stereotypes that are often linked to this collective. 'Do I Sound Gay?' aims to answer questions like why do some people "sound gay" but not others? or why are gay voices a mainstay of pop culture but also a trigger for bullying and harassment? The stars wander between the fact of hiding your voice for fear of persecution and what stereotypes do to democracy.
