Plot

Based on the Hunter S. Thompson's novel of the same name, Terry Gilliam introduces us in the crazy and drugged world of the American writer in this movie starred by a journalist, Raoul Duke (Johnny Depp), and his Samoan lawyer (Benicio del Toro), who are looking for something known as the "american dream" in a surreal road trip that makes them end up in the city of artificial lights, casinos and perversion.
