Plot
Connie Nikas (Robert Pattinson) forcibly removes his brother Nick with functional diversity from a therapy session to rob a bank in the middle of New York City. During the robbery something goes wrong and Nick is caught by the police while Connie manages to run away. Connie tries to get her brother out of jail, but he has to pay a high bail and he doesn't have enough money. He will try by all means to free his brother, since that type of confinement is not suitable for him. In jail Nick ends up in a fight and he ends up being hospitalized. What his brothers don't know is that this is only the beginning of the path to find their freedom and what it's about to happen can become a dream or a nightmare.

Trivia
A very real chasing
In the mall-chase scene, real police officers were hired to act in the movie. They didn't shut down the mall from the public, but filmed when the daily business was going on, so they had real reactions from real customers. Some even tried to stop the cops from chasing the actors.
Absolute freedom
All actors didn't read the script but were given a detailed backstory of their characters and were told to improvise every scene, while Robert Pattinson and Benny Safdie had scripts but were still told to react to the others as well as they could.
Passing unknown through the crowd
The scene in the subway was shot during rush hour with real passengers. In order to shoot unnoticed, they directed Pattinson by text messages while the camera and crew was filming in the same wagon.
