Plot

A man, nicknamed Eghbal, drives at night with his wife and daughter when he hits and kills a dog. The accident severely damages the engine of his car, causing it to break down later. He stops at a nearby workshop, where he encounters Vahid, a former political prisoner. Vahid recognizes the squeak of Eghbal's prosthetic leg as the same sound made by an intelligence officer who tortured him in prison and caused him permanent kidney damage.

Convinced he has found his torturer, Vahid follows Eghbal to his home, kidnaps him, and takes him to the desert with the intention of burying him alive. However, doubts begin to arise, as Vahid never saw his torturer's face because he was blindfolded during the interrogations. To confirm his identity, Vahid contacts other former prisoners who also suffered abuse: the bookseller Salar, the wedding photographer Shiva, the bride Goli, the groom Ali, and the worker Hamid. They all gather in his van, traveling day and night with the captured man, seeking justice — or revenge — for the atrocities they experienced.

Throughout the journey, they intensely debate the morality of killing him and the uncertainty of whether he is truly responsible for their suffering. As the tension rises, so do the doubts, confronting them not only with their past, but with the limits of justice and the need for truth before punishment
