Synopsis

'Jone Batzuetan' narrates the delicate and moving process of maturity of Jone, a 20-year-old young woman who finds herself at the crossroads between late adolescence and emerging adulthood. Her summer unfolds marked by two opposing forces that transform her world: first love and her father's illness. While the Semana Grande of Bilbao envelops the city with its bustle and festivities, Jone experiences with Olga the intensity and euphoria of a passion that makes her feel immortal, a moment in which everything seems possible and the limits of her youth expand.

At the same time, reality hits hard at home: the unexpected progression of Aita's Parkinson's alters the family dynamic, confronting Jone with the fragility of life and the particular way her father faces his own illness.

This summer becomes a space of discovery, conflict, and acceptance, where the young woman is forced to reconcile the girl that still resides in her with the adult that begins to emerge. 'Jone Batzuetan' is, thus, an intimate and sincere story about growth, loss, love, and resilience, that sensitively captures the moments of transition that define life and the formation of identity.
