Plot
After a family tragedy, Li Fong, a young kung fu prodigy, must leave behind his life in Beijing to start anew with his mother in New York City. Removed from everything he knew, Li faces a hostile environment where cultural differences, grief, and loneliness complicate his adaptation. Although he tries to stay out of conflicts, his talent for martial arts and his strong character soon attract the attention of those around him. Problems, however, seem to find him wherever he goes.
When a close friend is threatened, Li decides to intervene. His path leads him to a demanding karate competition, where he discovers that his mastery of kung fu is not enough to face opponents trained in another fighting style. Defeated and frustrated, he turns to his teacher, the wise and reserved Mr. Han, who recognizes that the challenge goes beyond technique. To help him find a new balance, Han contacts an old ally: Daniel LaRusso, the legendary Karate Kid.
Together, both mentors guide Li on a journey of self-discovery and transformation. As he learns to combine the fluidity of kung fu with the discipline of karate, Li forges his own style and prepares for a decisive confrontation that will test not only his body but also his spirit.
A new installment in the iconic 'Karate Kid' saga, connected to the successful universe of 'Cobra Kai', which unites generations through the power of learning, friendship, and honor in combat.

Trivia
Cobra Kai
As this movie is set after the events in Cobra Kai (2018), the film's original release date was pushed back by five months, to accommodate for the Cobra Kai series finale's release.
Jackie Chan
Jackie Chan performed a good amount of his own action scenes and was only doubled for complicated moments.
Ralph Macchio
Ralph Macchio pushed hard to have a line in this movie that says, "Anytime I have the chance to spread a piece of his legacy, it's never the wrong choice,'" Macchio told HuffPost in an interview. "It's always paramount that Miyagi is woven into the fabric of Daniel LaRusso. Reprising this role means paying that legacy forward," Macchio added. "It's about spreading that wisdom and knowledge in a good way, in a positive way."
