Plot

Nominated at the European Film Awards for best comedy and nominated for three Jussi Awards, 'Ladies of Steel' is a feature film directed by Pamela Tola and written by Tola and Aleksi Bardy. Starring Leena Uotila, Seela Sella, Saara Pakkasvirta, Heikki Nousiainen, Pirjo Lonka, Samuli Niittymäki, and Jani Volanen. Inkeri (Uotila), is a woman who's tired of her husband. One night, she hits her husband, Tapio (Nousiainen) with a frying pan on the head, rendering him seriously unconscious. The old woman thinks that she has killed her husband and she decides to bury him in the garden. Fearful of being incarcerated and spending the last of her in prison, Inkeri opts to flee from her. To escape her, she decides that her sisters, Rail (Sella) and Sylv (Pakkasvirta), accompany her. The three sisters set out on an adventure, on a maddening road trip, with which the three women will find a way to find mitigating measures to prevent Inkeri from ending up incarcerated. A nice production shot in the summer of 2019 in the Helsinki metropolitan area and North Karelia. 'Ladies in Steel' was a blockbuster in its native Finland, where it became the most viewed film of 2020. A film produced by Aleksi Bardy, Dome Karukoski and Sirkka Raputiainen, which featured composer Panu Aaltio for the composition of the original motion pictures soundtrack.
