'Lee Miller' tells the story of a woman who lived ahead of her time, challenging the norms of her era. Elizabeth "Lee" Miller was an American pioneer who began her career as a model and cover girl for VOGUE. This eventually wore her out as she did not enjoy being the object of attention, so she decided to leave her glamorous life to delve into the heart of World War II.

She began her journey as a war correspondent for VOGUE and, thanks to her immense talent, bravery, and tenacity, Lee gifted us some of the most iconic and memorable images of the 20th century. In doing so, she forever changed war photography by starting to focus on the victims and the aftermath of war, something unprecedented until then.

Kate Winslet stars in this portrait of the renowned and multifaceted Elizabeth "Lee" Miller. The Oscar winner is joined by other great actors such as Alexander Skarsgård ('Big Little Lies'), Josh O'Connor ('Rivals'), Andy Samberg ('Brooklyn Nine-Nine'), Marion Cotillard ('La Vie en Rose'), and Andrea Riseborough ('Birdman').

The project is directed by Ellen Kuras, who previously worked with Winslet on 'Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind' where she was the director of photography and camera. This marks her first feature film after having directed several documentaries and episodes of series.
