Plot

'Love Gets a Room' is is a film set in January 1942, when 400,000 Jews from all over Poland have been imprisoned by the Nazis for over a year in an isolated Jewish quarter in the middle of the city. Instead, the people who live outside the wall go on with their lives. However, the high brick wall does not prevent the arrest of a group of Jewish actors who, on a cold winter night, perform a musical comedy at the Fémina Theatre. The performers, facing a dilemma of life or death, get the spectators laugh, get excited and until they forget, even if only for a moment, their terrible, shocking and unfair situation.

'Love Gets a Room' is based on the performance of the play 'Love Seeks Apartment' which took place at the Fémina Theatre in Warsaw in 1942. This new proposal preserves the original lyrics of the songs and the music has been composed ad hoc respecting the tradition of the musical theatre of the moment.

The film is directed and co-written (with renowned German novelist David Safier) by Rodrigo Cortés, famous for features such as 'Buried' or 'Red Lights'. The cast includes Clara Rugaard, Ferdia Walsh-Peelo, Magnus Krepper, Freya Parks, Jack Roth, Henry Goodman, Dalit Streett Tejeda, Anastasia Hille, Valentina Bellè and Mark Davison.
