Mortal Kombat 2

After the events of the first movie (2021), Earthrealm is on the brink of collapse. Although they managed to prevent an early invasion from the Netherrealm, the threat of total war persists. Lord Raiden, protector of Earth, once again summons the remaining champions to prepare for the true Mortal Kombat tournament, an ancestral competition that will decide the fate of the realms. This time, Johnny Cage (Karl Urban), a charismatic yet arrogant action movie star whose fame has waned, joins the ranks of the Earth team, possessing an unusual fighting spirit.

As Raiden gathers the fighters and trains the new recruits, the forces of Outworld, led by the relentless emperor Shao Kahn, prepare to crush Earthrealm in what could be their tenth and final defeat, which would allow for the ultimate conquest of the realm. Sub-Zero resurfaces, while new characters like Kitana, Jade, and Baraka enter the conflict, bringing with them old grudges and betrayals. Loyalties will be tested, origins will be revealed, and the tournament will bring brutal fights, fatalities true to the video game, and the fate of the world will hang by a thread.
