Plot
Alejandro Amenábar is back to thriller with 'Regression', starring Ethan Hawke, Emma Watson and David Thewlis. 1990. One man from a small town in Minnesota turns himself to the police and confesses a terrible crime he doesn't remember to have committed. His daughter is the one who accuses him of the crime. In order to try to unblock his memories, detective Bruce Kenner asks professor Kenneth Raines, an expert in hypnotism, for help. They will try to go inside the man's mind to find out what happened in that house. 'Regression' will open at the San Sebastian Film Festival.

Emma Watson and Rachel Weisz are British actresses. Rachel Weisz has starred in The Fountain a film by Darren Aronofsky and in Agora an Alejandro Amenabar film. Emma Watson stars in Noah directed by Darren Aronofsky and in Regression directed by Alejandro Amenabar.
In the beginning, Amenábar was looking for a younger girl than Emma Watson to play Angela (who is 17). When he finally chose her, he was surprised because Watson looked much younger than 17 in the shooting.
