Lloyd Dobler (John Cusack) is a normal guy who falls in love with the most beautiful and intelligent girl of the high school, Diane Court (Ione Skye). At the beginning he stumbles but at a party he decides to dash and ask her for a date. For everyone's surprise, she accept and begin to hang out with Lloyd. However, her father doesn't approve her relationship, and Diane will have to choose between him and Lloyd. He loves the kindness of Lloyd but she also starts to neglect her studies as she spends more time with her new boyfriend.

Written and directed by Cameron Crowe ('Almost famous'), 'Say Anything...' has become all a reference for teenage romantic comedies in his way to approach this genre, and also because of its iconic scene with John Cusack and the boombox.
