Search Engines

'Search Engines' is a film that semi serious satirical film about the essential relationship of today's world: human beings and their mobile phones, or tablets, or whichever device people can access the internet with. The film takes place on Thanksgiving, the American holiday where family and friends annually gather to celebrate gratitude and fellowship. However, when each mobile device looses it's connection throughout the house, each character has to deal with their own crisis: marriages are put through their paces, values are tested and everyone's future is thrown into chaos. If the human predilection is to search, either for meaning, a purpose, or love, this film is the story about how technology is leading us afield.
