Someday We'll Tell Each Other Everything

It is the summer of 1990 in the former East Germany and Maria, who lives on her boyfriend's parents' farm, is about to turn 19. The young woman decides to focus her energy and passion on her books, which allow her to lose herself in their magical worlds instead of putting all her efforts into graduating. Under an atmosphere full of possibilities in the midst of German reunification Maria's secret passion for Henner, a charismatic farmer twice her age who lives next door to her farm, must be added. Maria has fallen in love with him but now, she has to face a tremendous crossroad...

The film is directed by French-Iranian filmmaker Emily Atef and its story is based on Daniela Krien's first novel 'Someday We'll Tell All' with which she won prestigious awards and was very well received by the public. As for Emily Atef, she instantly fell in love with the play, expressing her "fascination with how it breaks taboos and how it deals with a young woman's desire, female desire and the curiosity of the protagonist. Atef is one of the most recognized directors in the best film competitions in Europe and Latin America. Her filmography includes major productions such as 'Molly's Way' being nominated to great awards like Festival de Mar de Plata.
