Spread Your Wings

Thomas (Louis Vazquez) is a teenage boy who spends his days playing video-games. His father, Christian (Jean-Paul Rouve), is an ornithologist who studies wild geese and their migratory habits. He decides to travel with his son to the wilderness for the holidays. Thomas hates to be in the middle of nowhere without technology, but adventure appears to be on the horizon the day that everything changes when he and his father must work together in an unexpected mission: leading a flock of geese through the European skies flying in a ultralight aircraft.

'Spread Your Wings' is a family film directed by Nicolas Vanier ('Belle et Sébastien', 'Le dernier trappeur'). Its story is based in the experiences of Bill Lishman, who flew in a ultralight aircraft to lead a flock of geese in their migration. This plot was also used in the 1996 movie 'Fly Away Home' (directed by Carroll Ballard and starring Jeff Daniels and Anna Paquin).
