Star Wars: Episode III - Revenge of the Sith's reviews
Media reviews
New York Times
This is by far the best film in the more recent trilogy, and also the best of the four episodes George Lucas has directed. That's right (and my inner 11-year-old shudders as I type this): it's better than 'Star Wars: Episode IV - A New Hope'.
Variety
The Force returns with most of its original power regained in a film packed with action, drama and spectacle that and even supplies the odd surge of emotion, as young Anakin Skywalker goes over to the Dark Side and the stage is set for the generation of stories.

'Star Wars: Episode III - Revenge of the Sith' not only is the best of the three intergalactic prequels but also a politics movie although this maybe comes as a surprise to the sceptic and disappointed fans.

The special effects serve the story, and not the other way around but there's something missing. McGregor, Portman, and Christensen have all been brilliant elsewhere, but the bonds between their characters are all in the dialogue, never between the lines.
Rolling Stone
Lucas almost pulls the plot out of the fire in the film's final section, when a link to genuine feeling is established at last. t's too little and too late. To hail Revenge of the Sith as a satisfying bridge it's an insult to what the original accomplished.
