Swapped

'Swapped' is an American animated film with Spanish participation directed by Nathan Grano. With a screenplay by John Whittington, Christian Magalhaes and Robert Snow, it is a production by Skydance animation studios for Netflix, which premieres it worldwide on May 1, 2026.

In The Valley, a colorful ecosystem in which creatures barely coexist amid ancient rivalries, there are two species that have been eyeing each other with distrust for generations: those of the land and those of the air. Ollie is a small forest creature, shy and clumsy, who has grown up hearing that birds are the enemy. Ivy is a majestic tropical bird, proud and energetic, convinced that ground creatures don't even deserve to be looked at from above.

Until a magical accident changes everything: from one day to the next, Ollie and Ivy wake up swapped, trapped in each other's body, in each other's world, in each other's life. Now Ollie has to learn to fly with an enormous body he doesn't understand, and Ivy has to adapt to moving at ground level, fragile and tiny. Forced to collaborate to survive the dangers of the Valley and, along the way, find a way to recover their original form, the two sworn enemies embark on the wildest adventure of their lives, one in which they will have to dismantle all the prejudices they grew up with.

'Swapped' features, in its original version, the voices of Michael B. Jordan and Juno Temple to play Ollie and Ivy respectively. The cast is rounded out by Tracy Morgan, Justina Machado and Nate Torrence, among others. The film receives generally positive reviews.
