Tad Jones and the Secret of King Midas's reviews
Media reviews
Fotogramas
Better than the first: the five years of waiting have been fruitful. It is noteworthy that they have been run with patience, talent and ingenuity, and none of the autopilot that so often triggers sequels.
Cinemanía
The script, dialogues and characters are again quite schematic, and some technical finesse (at the end party all the figuration is dressed the same, for example) reveals lack of time or means, but as a family product is fine.
El Periódico
They have strived to offer a product above expectations, much more elaborated both in the technique of animation and in the very structure of a film, which finally manages to have a personality.
El País
Tad Jones and the Secret of King Midas does not seem to have put too much effort either to improve the generic design of their secondary characters or to better care for the choreography of their visual gags.
El Mundo
A film that is much more than the first in everything, although excessively precooked.
