Tales of the Night

Directed by acclaimed French filmmaker, Michel Ocelot, who was behind prestigious films as 'Kirikú and the witch' and 'Azur and Asmar'. 'Tales of the Night' is the continuation of the acclaimed 'Princes and Princesses', an astounding feature film that compiles several fables portrayed in different periods of history and different continents. The film takes the spectator to the fable of a prince spellbound in love with a ruthless maid; Then deepens in the depths of the French Antilles, how a boy with no future manages to challenge the very king of hell; How a young stranger lifts innocents from death to be used as a tribute to a horrible beast; The film takes the public to exotic places like an African tribe, an ancient kingdom in the middle of Tibet, medieval France or the ancient Mayan Empire. New stories that are inspired by the originals seen in 'Ciné si', an artistic project made for television with experimental animation that is seen through Chinese shadows. Exhibited in the Official Selection of the 61st Berlin International Film Festival.
