The Secret Life of Pets 2

'The Secret Life Of Pets 2' carries on the story of the first instalment, with Jack Russell Terrier mix Max (Patton Oswalt, 'Ratatouille') living happily in New York City alongside his fellow rescue dog, Duke (Eric Stonestreet, 'Modern Family'), and their owner, Katie (Ellie Kemper, 'The Office'). When Katie gets married and has a baby, Liam (Henry Lynch), Max is confused and disgruntled by the baby's tendency to play too roughly with the nervous dog. Over time, however, the two develop a close bond which leads to Max developing overprotective neuroses for which Katie takes him to the vet.

The family goes on a road-trip to a farm, leading to more difficulties for Max as he has to adapt to the unfamiliar ways of the farm animals there, including those of grouchy Welsh Sheepdog Rooster (Harrison Ford, 'Star Wars'). Rooster teaches Max many lessons about living with fear, which will be of utmost importance to the anxious canine when it comes to rescuing his favourite toy, Busy Bee, from Crazy Cat Lady's apartment with the help of the Pomeranian, Gidget (Jenny Slate, 'Parks and Recreation'), and tabby cat, Chloe (Lake Bell 'Man Up').

'The Secret Life of Pets 2' is co-directed by Chris Renaud and Jonathan Del Val. Joining or returning to the cast are Kevin Hart, Tiffany Haddish, Dana Carvey and Bobby Moynihan.
