They Will Kill You

''They Will Kill You'' is a U.S. slasher horror film directed by Kirill Sokolov, with a screenplay by Sokolov himself along with Alex Litvak. It is the first production from Noctura, a company created by Any and Barbara Muschietti. 

The film debuts at the SXSW Festival in mid-March 2026 and is released a few days later in the United States on March 27.

The film takes us to a gloomy and dark Manhattan, where a woman responds to a job offer as a cleaner in a mysterious skyscraper in the city. She gets lost in a vertical maze of endless hallways, elevators that seem to go nowhere, and abandoned floors where the silence is as unsettling as any noise.

Soon, what begins as a solitary and mechanical routine is tainted by disturbing signs: unexplainable stains, hidden symbols in restricted areas, rumors among the few employees left, and a constant feeling of being watched

What she doesn't know is that, over the years, that building has experienced a series of mysterious disappearances, apparently stemming from a demonic cult that uses them for their sacrifices. 

As the night progresses and exits close off, the boundary between the rational and the supernatural blurs, and the woman realizes that the skyscraper is not only a physical trap but also a psychological one. Everything points to her possibly being the next offering, and the only question left is whether she will manage to break the cycle before the building claims a new victim. Will she escape?

''They Will Kill You'' stars actress Zazie Beetz in the lead role, alongside Patricia Arquette, Tom Felton, Heather Graham, Paterson Joseph, and Myha'la, among others. 

The film, although set in New York, was filmed entirely in Cape Town, South Africa. As a good slasher, it promises plenty of blood, outrageous deaths, and dark humor to spare in this new twist on the genre.
