"And it has to be said that the relationship between Gloria and Sam, in the middle portion of the film, is as cute a prolonged TV commercial in which everything is perfectly choreographed, scored and full of cute father-daughter sentiments even though we never really get to know them as people instead of avatars of their respective family roles."
