Werewolf by Night

The upcoming Marvel Studios television special explores in black and white the life of Marvel Comics' Werewolf by Night, a lycanthropic superhero who fights evil with the powers endowed by the curse of his lineage. In his path will cross a group of monster hunters who, after the death of their leader, find themselves in Bloodstone Castle in search of a powerful relic.

Mexican actor Gael García Bernal will star as Jack Russell, who lives two parallel lives: he is a monster hunter who, however, is afflicted by the curse of lycanthropy, but which allows him to maintain his human intellect during the transformation. The cast also includes Northern Irish actress Laura Donnelly ('Outlander,' 'The Hunt') and Harriet Sansom Harris ('Desperate Housewives').

It is ceated by Gerry Conway and directed by Michael Giacchino, nominated for numerous international awards for his work as a musical composer and Academy Awars winner for his work on the animated film 'Up' (2009). As a director, he debuted on the small screen with an episode in the TV miniseries 'Star Trek: Short Treks'. Behind the script are Heather Quinn ('Hawkeye') and Peter Cameron ('Scarlet Witch and Vision').

The film will be available on the Disney+ streaming platform, and will be related to the rest of the Marvel Cinematic Universe films.
