The Super Bowl is always a huge event on the US calendar. Around 66,000 fans are expected to make their way to the U.S Bank Stadium on 4th February, whilst more than 100 million will be tuning into the 52nd edition of the game via TV. Given the wide reach of the Super Bowl, the advertisements that air whilst the game is playing out provide distributors with golden opportunities to showcase some of the latest trailers to upcoming films. It's been hinted that the longest spot will go to 'Cloverfield 3', but not everything is set in stone as of yet.

'Mission Impossible - Fallout'

According to Deadline, Universal will be revealing trailers for upcoming productions, 'Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom' (8th June) , 'Pacific Rim: Uprising' (28th February) and Dwayne Johnson's new film 'Skyscraper' (13th July). Paramount are thought to be showcasing 'Mission Impossible - Fallout' (27th July) and 'A Quiet Place' (6th April) before the game begins.

We're not messing around when we tell you that a 30 second trailer due to air during the Super Bowl is a huge deal. The lucky ad has the chance to bring in up to 5 million dollars which is equivalent to the salary of one of the Quarterbacks from the Philadelphia Eagles.

What about Disney?

Disney have been quite tight-lipped when it comes to their Super Bowl plans but we suspect their spot may go to the upcoming Marvel film 'Black Panther' (13th February) or the much anticipated 'Avengers: Infinity War' (27th April). The Super Bowl would also pose a great opportunity to premiere a trailer for 'Ant-Man and the Wasp' (29th June) or 'Solo: A Star Wars Story' (25th May). Following the minuscule 'The Incredibles 2' clip that surfaced back in November, maybe Disney will surprise us with a lengthier trailer?
