Followers of the Marvel Cinematic Universe were in raptures over 'Avengers: Infinity War', but it was also rather terrible. The end of the film, in which many of the best loved characters disappeared into thin air after Thanos' infamous click of the fingers, was truly hard.

However, none of these almost-deaths can compare with that of Spider-Man. The scene in which Tom Holland's character fell into the arms of Tony Stark, vulnerable and terrified, was just too much for fans.

Spider-Man Infinity War

On her press tour for the new 'Smallfoot' animation film, Zendaya was asked for her reaction to the aforementioned 'Infinity War' scene. Acccording to ComicBook, the actress confessed, "I was just as emotional as everyone else. I mean, I didn't cry. The tear didn't fall, but it was definitely there. I was getting misty, I will say that. I got misty."

The Future of Spider-Man

Although 'Infinity War' is a sequel to 'Spider-Man: Homecoming', the future of Holland's superhero character is a mystery. To be rid of any doubts we have, we must wait until the new MCU films are released, among those 'Spider-Man: Far From Home', which is being filmed in Europe over the next few months.

Zendaya, who is returning to her role as Michelle, has shown her excitement to have a far more weighty role in the upcoming film: "I guess because I only had like two lines in the first one, anything's kind of exciting, right? Like, I'll take anything!"

'Spider-Man: Far from Home' comes to cinemas on July 5th 2019. Until then, we can continue watching and crying at the last scene in 'Infinity War'. And waiting for 'Avengers 4' in order to know what happened to Spidey and the other unfortunate fallen.
