Plot
Directed by Afonso Poyart and starring Anthony Hopkins, Colin Farrell and Jeffrey Dean Morgan. An FBI detective must convince a retired psychiatrist to solve a complex and sinister case: to hunt down a ruthless serial murderer. The film starring Anthony Hopkins, Colin Farrell, Jeffrey Dean Morgan and Abbie Cornish, among others. Interestingly, the brief synopsis so far provided by the producer saves tremendous resemblance to the well-known Hannibal Lecter. Which side will this time Hopkins? The image of the film suggests a kind of double identity, very recurrent aspect in these kinds of stories. Hopefully, the virtually unknown Afonso Poyart not fall into the trap and give us shopping a pointless rehash of all movies and ingredients of the genre.

The project was originally going to be directed by Shekhar Kapur with Bruce Willis in the lead role.
The film was scheduled for a late 2015 release, but the film's US distributor - Relativity Media - has encountered financial trouble and have put off the release.
The script for this movie was originally picked up by New Line Cinema, with the intention to rewrite it as a sequel to Seven (1995), tentatively titled Ei8ht. The main character was supposed to be Se7en's Detective William Somerset who had acquired psychic powers. This idea was dropped after Se7en director David Fincher reacted negatively to the idea, after which it was produced as a stand-alone film.
