Bernarda

'Bernarda' is the new feature film by Emilio Ruíz Barrachina, who directs this adaptation of the play 'La casa de Bernarda Alba', the classic play written by Federico García Lorca. In the play, Bernarda, after being widowed, decides to remain in mourning for eight years, in which she also forces her daughters to live locked up with her in the house. The film is set in the current era, and its main objective is to show problem with the white slave trade. The film was shot in Salobreña, Granada, and features in its cast Assumpta Serna, Victoria Abril, Elisa Mouliaá, Miriam Diaz-Aroca, Will Shephard, Maria Ivanova, Christina K. Pascual and Barbara Caffarel, while the script is in charge of Tirso Calero.
