Blue Beetle

Jaime Reyes, who just has finished college, returns home with lots of plans for his future, only to discover that his home is not exactly the way he left it. As Jaime seeks to find his place in the world, fate intervenes and suddenly he has in his hands an ancient relic of alien biotech: the Beetle. When the Beetle suddenly chooses Jaime as his symbiotic host, he equips him with incredible armor with extraordinary and unpredictable powers that will forever change his destiny and turn him into the Super Hero Blue Beetle.

The film, directed by Ángel Manuel Soto ('The Farm'), stars Xolo Maridueña ('Cobra Kai') in the role of Jaime Reyes. Besides Maridueña, the main cast is composed by Adriana Barraza ('Rambo: Last Blood', 'Thor') as Jaime's grandmother, Damián Alcázar ('Narcos', 'Narcos: Mexico') as his father, Elpidia Carrillo ('Mayans M.C.', 'Predator') as her mother, Bruna Marquezine ('Maldivas', 'God Save the King') as Jenny Kord, Raoul Max Trujillo ('Mayans M.C.') as Carapax, Oscar winner Susan Sarandon as Victoria Kord and George Lopez ('Rio', 'The Smurfs') as Uncle Rudy. Belissa Escobedo ('American Horror Stories') and Harvey Guillén ('What We Do in the Shadows') are also part of the cast, as Jaime's sister, Milagro, and Doctor Sánchez.
