Borderlands

A film adaptation of the popular saga of adventure, action and science fiction video games from 2K Games, the 'Borderlands' movie focuses on Lilith (Cate Blanchett), an ambitious bounty hunter who returns to Pandora, her original planet, to rescue the daughter of one of the most repulsive and powerful beings in the universe, Atlas (Edgar Ramirez). On her mission, she will assemble a motley crew of individuals, starting with Roland (Kevin Hart), a hardened mercenary with a clear objective who seeks redemption; Tiny Tina (Arianna Greenblatt), an uncontrollable pre-teen; Krieg (Florian Munteanu), Tina's hypertrophied squire; Tannis (Jamie-Lee Curtis), a know-it-all scientist; and Claptrap (Jack Black), another know-it-all, albeit one made of wires and metal. These unique heroes will encounter, in various misadventures, endless dangers that they will have to face to protect the missing girl from Atlas.

Written (with Joe Crombie) and directed by Eli Roth, 'Borderlands' delivers, through its adventure, a valuable message about empathy, family and friends.

Arad Productions, Picturestart, Gearbox Studios, Lions Gate Films and Media Capital Technologies are producing this film, which is distributed by Diamond Films in Spain and will be released in theaters on August 9, 2024.
