The film places us on 1930's Hollywood as it follows Bobby Dorfman (Jesse Eisenberg), who wants to become a recognized actor in the industry. The character leaves New York and once in Los Angeles he tries to get a role on a film. However he has a helper, his uncle Phil (Steve Carell) who is a well-known producer and will make an effort for his nephew. Dorfman will quickly become interested on his uncle's secretary: Vonnie (Kristen Stewart). However there is one little problem: Phil is Vonnie's lover. After directing 'Irrational Man', 'Magic in the Moonlight' and 'Blue Jasmine', Woody Allen brings us 'Café Society' on which also star Blake Lively ('The Age of Adaline') and Corey Stoll ('Ant-Man'). The movie opened Cannes festival in 2016.
