El pregón

'El pregón' is a 2016 Spanish comedy starring Andreu Buenafuente and Berto Romero ('Spanish Affair 2', 'Three Many Weddings'). It's the story of the Osorio brothers, a forgotten band of 90s pop music who reunite after two decades, although they swore to never do it, but they will do it for a good reason: money. The Osorios are called by their Hometown council to make the announcement of the local holidays, and what at first seems to be the perfect excuse to make easy and fast money -that's also really needed-, turns into an awful experience full of stalker groupies, obscure plans and ancient traditions. Maybe it's more than their fame what's at stake... even their lives?

Produced by El Terrat in colaboration with Atresmedia Cine, 'El pregón' will open in Spanish cinemas March 18th. Directed by Dani de la Orden, the script was written by Diego San José ('Spanish Affair') and David Serrano. The two comics will be met with guest stars such as Jorge Sanz ('Belle Epoque') as the Home Mayor, Belén Cuesta ('Spanish Affair 2') as a crazy groupie and Goyo Jiménez as the Deputy Mayor.
