Synopsis

Estrella is living in "The Seagull", a house on the outskirts of the town in the north of Spain dreaming with the mysteries that hides the south. Estrella lives there with his parents. He is a doctor and diviner, she's a teacher. Estrella grows deeply admiring his father without ever understand him at all. His mother lives embittered, was punished by the Franco regime after the civil war. Estrella suspect Augustín, his father, hides a secret. The girl will discover this secret when she finds his father in a bar with another woman, her lover. Victor Erice second film after the successfully 'The Spirit of the Beehive'.
