Plot
Francoise "Frankie" Cremont (Isabelle Huppert) and the rest of her beloved family placidly live a carefree and quiet holiday life surrounded by all kinds of luxuries. However, there is a hidden news that is slowly unveiling and that will put this idyllic situation in check. Frankie has a cancer that seemed outdated but that now it has relapsed. In fact, the news is even worse since, it seems, medical expectations predict that she has barely a year to live before the bad ending. This movie shows how the woman, mother and grandmother, tries to say goodbye to her loved ones and leave a legacy that people can always remember. She will help her family to tidy up their lives and solve the different problems they may have in their love relationships, relying on her veteran experience. A task of the most complicated since each and every one of them are characterized by very powerful personalities that, once together, are capable of causing a real hurricane of conflicts and problematic relationships. This is where Frankie will be challenged and will have to make use of her integrity and empathy in order to try to understand what is happening to them and, thus, try to fix and reconnect all the pieces of a puzzle that seems impossible to solve.
