'Freaky' presents a twisted version of the classic body exchange when a teenage girl discovers herself in the shoes of a relentless serial killer who has stolen her appearance to continue killing with pleasure. Kathryn Newton ('Big Little Lies') plays the 17-year-old Millie Kessler, one more girl who tries to survive the ruthless corridors of her high school and the cruelty of her classmates. Everything gets radically worse when The Butcher (Vince Vaughn), the infamous killer on the loose in his town, tries to claim his life. That's when the story changes radically for Millie, making the course she feared so much the least of her worries. When The Butcher's mystical ancient dagger causes him and Millie to wake up in each other's body, Millie will discover that she only has 24 hours to regain her body before the change becomes permanent and is forever trapped in the form of a killer maniac. But it will not be easy to go unnoticed, since now she has the physical aspect of the psychopath who is being persecuted throughout the city. Meanwhile The Butcher, who now has the appearance of a teenage girl, is on the loose and intends to continue with his carnage. With the help of her friends, the clever Nyla (Celeste O'Connor), the glamorous Joshua (Misha Osherovich) and her boyfriend Booker (Uriah Shelton), Millie will race against time to reverse the curse, while The Butcher discovers that having the body of a teenage girl is the perfect cover to start a murder spree. Christopher Landon ('Paranormal Activity'), directs and writes with Michael Kennedy ('Bordertown') this horror film with a very black humor.
